Dia 1.

Nesta época do ano, por aqui, no estado da Florida, ao fim do dia normalmente chove, é um fenómeno causado pelo efeito do calor infernal que se faz sentir durante o dia. Nós adoramos esse fenómeno, que nos refresca, pelo menos no pensamento e, nos leva a pensar que vivemos em outros lugares!.

Foi com alguns chuviscos que preparámos os últimos retoques da nossa viajem, que durou algum tempo, pelo meio e sul dos Estados Unidos!

…incluindo o total percurso da estrada mãe, ou seja a célebre Route 66, que começa na Adams Street, na cidade de Chicago, com uma extenção de 2.448 milhas, através dos estados de Illinois, Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, terminando em Santa Monica Pier, na cidade de Los Angels, no estado da California!

Vamos tentar levar a todos um relato, talvez não muito minucioso, mas do que mais importante nos foi acontecendo!.

A nossa “RV motorhome”, estava preparada, era manhã, seguindo em direção ao norte!

…pela estrada rápida 95, a nossa rota era o estado de New Jersey, passando sempre com bom tempo, pelos estados de Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina!

… e Virginia, onde houve alguma chuva e, onde o frigorífico da nossa “RV motorhome” se avariou, tivemos  que recorrer a caixas frigoríficas de emergência, continuando pelos estados de Maryland!

..Delaware!.

…finalmente New Jersey!

passando algum tempo com a família e amigos!.

Dia 2.

 

Convivemos com a nossa filha Sandy, seu marido Brian e o nosso neto Anthony Brian, foi maravilhoso!.

…assim como com os amigos do coração Natércia e Jorge Almeida, que nos presentearam com um típico “bem português churrasco”, assintindo a um jogo de futebol para o campeonato da Europa onde Portugal jogava!

Dia 3.

Seguindo pela estrada 24, depois pela 80!.

…chegámos à cidade de Straudsburg, no estado de Pennsylvania!.

…convivemos com o nosso filho Tony, sua esposa Cathy e os netos Cody e Dawson, terminando o dia com alegria, festejando com um maravilhoso churrasco!.

To new generation!

Day 1.

This time of year, here in the state of Florida, the end of the day it usually rains, is a phenomenon caused by the effect of the summer heat that is felt during the day. We love this phenomenon, we refresh, at least in thought, and leads us to think that we live elsewhere !.

It was with some drizzles that prepared the finishing touches of our journey, which lasted for some time, the middle and southern United States, including the total mother road route, ie the famous Route 66, starting on Adams Street in the city of Chicago, with an extension of 2448 miles, through the states of Illinois, Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, finishing in Santa Monica Pier in Los Angels, in the state of California.

We will try to bring everyone a story, maybe not very thorough, but what was most important in going !.

Our “RV motorhome”, was prepared, it was morning, heading towards the north by fast road 95, our route was the state of New Jersey, always passing with good weather, the states of Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina , Virginia, where there was some rain and where the refrigerator of our Motor Home, broken down, where we had to resort to cold boxes emergency, continuing the states of Maryland, Delaware and finally New Jersey, spending time with family and friends !.

Day 2.

We lived with our daughter Sandy, her husband Brian and our grandson Anthony Brian, was wonderful, as well as with friends heart Natércia and Jorge Almeida, who presented us with a typical Portuguese barbecue, assintindo a football game for the championship Europe where Portugal played!

Day 3.

Following the road 24, then by 80 we reached the city of Straudsburg in the state of Pennsylvania, lived with our son Tony, his wife Cathy and grandchildren Cody and Dawson. Ending the day, celebrating with a wonderful BBQ!.
