Borie’s2017. (away from home, day 6)

…saímos manhã cedo da cidade de Sheridan, no estado de Wyoming. Viajámos no Highway 90, no sentido oeste!. (we left early morning from the town of Sheridan, in the state of Wyoming. We traveled on Highway 90, heading west)!.

…o estado de Montana era já ali, parámos para a foto!. (the state of Montana was already there, we stopped for the photo)!.

…o tempo não estava muito bom, era manhã, dava alguns indícios de chuva, as fotos do highway saíam um pouco escuras, mas era o que era e, não se pode esperar que seja tudo muito bom!. (the weather was not very good, it was morning, it was showing signs of rain, the highway photos were a bit dark, but it was what it was and you can not expect everything to be so good)!.

…íamos vendo saídas para alguns lugares históricos, mas, ou porque já tínhamos visitado esses lugares em viajens anteriores, ou porque o tempo não convidava, seguíamos viajem!. (we were seeing exits to some historical places, but either because we had visited these places in previous trips, or because the weather did not invite us, we were still traveling)!

…o sinal brilhante do Casino, contrasta com a antiga igreja missionária!. (the bright sign of the Casino, contrasts with the old missionary church)!.

…olhando no sentido direito, quem segue em direcção ao oeste, emerge uma nova paisagem, com algumas estátuas com muita perfeição, na próxima saída, saímos e fomos ver, era o Apsaalooke Warrior’s Park, admirámos, sentimos muito respeito pelas imagens e, tirámos algumas fotos!. (looking in the right direction, whoever goes west, a new landscape emerges, with some statues with great perfection, at the next exit, we went out and went to see it, it was the Apsaalooke Warrior’s Park, we admired it, we felt a lot of respect for the images and, we took some photos)!.

…continuámos no Highway 90 oeste!. (we continued on Highway 90 West)!.

…parámos na cidade de Billings, para abastecimento, tanto de géneros alimentícios!. (we stopped in the town of Billings, for supplies, both food)!. 

…como gasolina, que até estava a um preço módico, o que a nossa “White Fox” agradeceu!. (and gasoline, which was even at a reasonable price, which our “White Fox” thanked)!.

…a paisagem no Highway 90, era um pouco diferente das planícies que era costume ver!. (the landscape on Highway 90, was a little different from the plains it was usual to see)!.

…parámos numa Área de descanso, e claro, não resistimos a fotografar o céu azul e as bandeiras!. (we stopped at a resting area, and of course, we did not resist shooting the blue sky and the flags)!.

…lá ao longe, havia montanhas com neve!. (in the distance, there were mountains with snow)!.

…o vento era de 46 milhas por hora!. (winds of 46 miles per hour)!.

…antes de entrar no U. S. Route 287, parámos num lugar que já conhecíamos de viajens anteriores, é “Wheat Montana Bakery & Deli”, que confecciona pão de muitas qualidades, as simpáticas empregadas, perguntam sempre se querem o pão quente, se querem manteiga, o café quente é muito bom, podendo ainda comprar pão fresco para levar e, foi o que fizemos. Perdão, já nos esquecíamos de dizer, que também lá vendem farinha de trigo, milho ou centeio e seus derivados. E mais, também nos disseram “Wheat Montana Bakery & Deli” é uma propriedade familiar, com centenas de anos, que foi paragem de diligências, onde os viajantes se podiam refugiar e reabastecer. O “Wheat Montana Farms”, onde tudo isto começou, são 13,000 hectares de terra seca aninhados entre a Divisão Continental e a confluência dos rios Madison, Jefferson e Gallatin, que formam o poderoso Rio Missouri. O aroma do pão recém cozido, prepara o cenário para que está reservado, ou seja, fazer fome entre nós! (before entering US Route 287, we stopped at a place we already knew about previous trips, “Wheat Montana Bakery & Deli”, which makes bread of many qualities, nice waitresses, always ask if they want hot bread, if They want butter, the hot coffee is very good and you can still buy fresh bread to take away and that’s what we did. Forgiveness, we forgot to say, they also sell wheat, corn or rye flour and their derivatives. And yet, they also told us “Wheat Montana Bakery & Deli” is a family-owned, hundreds-of-years estate that has been a stagecoach where travelers can take refuge and refuel. The Wheat Montana Farms, where all of this began, is 13,000 acres of dry land nestled between the Continental Division and the confluence of the Madison, Jefferson, and Gallatin Rivers that make up the mighty Missouri River. The aroma of freshly baked bread sets the stage for what is reserved, that is, to make us hungry)!.

…o vento, com algumas rajadas mais fortes, já tinha começado quando viajávamos no Highway 90 no sentido oeste, mas agora, a rádio da nossa “White Fox”, dizia-nos que o vento era de 46 milhas por hora!. (the wind, with some of the strongest bursts, had already started when we were traveling on Highway 90 heading west, but now, our White Fox radio told us that the wind was 46 miles per hour)!

…a antena de TV, na “White Fox”, saíu do seu lugar, fazia muito barulho com o vento batendo-lhe, tínhamos que parar muitas vezes, para a recolocar no seu lugar!. (the TV antenna on “White Fox” came out of its place, it made a lot of noise with the wind hitting it, we had to stop many times, to put it back in its place !.

…continuando a viajar no sentido norte, a paisagem era de planície, a estrada acompanhava o terreno, portanto criava um cenário bonito em alguns lugares!. (continuing to travel in the north, the landscape was flat, the road followed the terrain, so it created a beautiful scenery in some places)!.

…numa paragem, numa estação de gasolina, um condutor de camião, vendo-nos a reparar a antena de TV da nossa “White Fox”, chamou-nos a atenção para o perigo que era viajar com este vento a 46 milhas por hora, que em qualquer momento nos podia pôr fora da estrada!. (at a gas station, a truck driver, watching us repair our White Fox’s TV antenna, drew attention to the danger of traveling with this wind at 46 miles per hour. Hour, which at any moment we could put off the road)!.

…com muito cuidado fomos seguindo, passando por algumas cidades, onde não parávamos, pois o nosso objectivo era o norte e, rodar o maior número de milhas possível!. (very carefully we were following, passing by some cities, where we did not stop, because our objective was the north and, to rotate the greater number of miles possible)!.

…perto da cidade de Helena, entrámos no Highway 15, no sentido norte, onde o tráfico estava bom!. (near the town of Helena, we entered Highway 15, heading north, where the traffic was good)!.

…mas o vento continuava!. (but the wind continued)!

.…na área de Spring Creeck,  o cenário é de montanha!. (in the Spring Creeck area, the scenery is mountain)!.

…queríamos chegar o mais depressa possível à cidade de Shelby, onde estava reservado o espaço no RV Parque para confeccionar a nossa comida e passar a noite!. (we wanted to get to the city of Shelby as soon as possible, where space was reserved at RV Park to make our food and stay the night)!.

…mas não resistimos a parar, admirar e tirar algumas fotos num dos cenários mais bonitos do Highway 15, que é a área do Marias River, onde tirámos algumas fotos de diversos ângulos!. (but we could not resist stopping, admiring and taking some photos in one of the most beautiful scenery on Highway 15, which is the Marias River area, where we took some photos from various angles)!.

…finalmente chegámos à cidade de Shelby, ocupámos o nosso espaço no RV Parque, onde passámos a noite, na esperança de amanhã ver o Glacier National Parque, nas montanhas de Montana, antes de rumar ao Canadá!. (we finally reached the town of Shelby, we occupied our space in the RV Park, where we spent the night in the hope of tomorrow to see the Glacier National Park in the mountains of Montana, before heading to Canada)!.
