…Novo Ano de 2018! (New Year 2018)!

…era manhã, o cenário era de pequenas montanhas onde, nas suas encostas se podia admirar, aqui e ali, alguns animais pastando, mais além, havia um pequeno rebanho de búfalos!. O nosso rumo era o sul, viajávamos no estado de Montana, depois de algum tempo e algumas milhas, aparece a planície, plantações de trigo e outros cereais, alguns currais, casas agrícolas, algumas pareciam-nos abandonadas e, mais à frente um cruzamento com uma estrada rápida, onde havia alguma “civilização”!. (it was morning, the scenery was of small mountains where, on its slopes one could admire, here and there, some animals grazing, besides, there was a small herd of buffaloes!. Our course was the south, we traveled in the state of Montana, after some time and a few miles, the plain appears, plantations of wheat and other cereals, some corrals, agricultural houses, some seemed abandoned us and, later a cross with a fast road where there was some “civilization”)!.

…parámos, havia estação de serviço, loja de conveniência e, uma famosa padaria com produtos de trigo, milho e centeio, toda a qualidade de pão e seus derivados, incluindo pão tipo português!. (we stopped, there was a service station, convenience store and a famous bakery with wheat, corn and rye products, all the quality of bread and its derivatives, including Portuguese type bread)!.

…neste cruzamento, que é uma espécie de “Oásis, no meio do Deserto”, vêem-se algumas pessoas, mesmo casais, alguns com crianças, “à boleia”, são simpáticos, falámos com um casal, que nos pediu boleia, todavia, não tínhamos espaço, disseram-nos que andavam na estrada há muito tempo e, não tinham pressa de chegar de novo ao estado do Alabama, de onde eram oriundos!. (at this intersection, which is a kind of “Oasis, in the middle of the Desert”, you can see some people, even couples, some with children, “on the road”, they are friendly, we spoke with a couple, who asked us for a ride, however, we had no space, they told us that they had been on the road for a long time, and they were in no hurry to get back to the state of Alabama, where they came from)!.

…como nós, também gostamos da aventura, falámos um pouco, perguntando se podíamos ajudar monetáriamente, querendo saber alguns pormenores!. Disseram que, tinham começado a aventura de percorrer o território dos USA, no princípio do ano, mesmo no dia 1 de Janeiro e, até à data em que os encontrámos, eram felizes o suficiente, aceitávam o que lhe quizéssemos dar, que o usariam o suficiente, os dias iam passando o suficiente!. Sempre que falavam mencionavam a palavra “suficiente”!. (like us, we also liked the adventure, we talked a little, asking if we could help monetarily, wanting to know some details!. They said they had started the adventure of touring the US territory at the beginning of the year, even on January 1, and until the day we met, they were happy enough, they accepted what we wanted to give them, they would use it enough, the days were going by enough!. Whenever they spoke they mentioned the word “enough”)!.

…eram pessoas simples, pareciam não ter “ganância”, querem viver o “dia a dia”, usar o que o mundo lhes podesse dar, contentando-se com o tal “suficiente”!. (They were simple people, they seemed to have no “greed”, they want to live “day by day”, to use what the world could give them, content with the “enough”)!.

…assim, nós, do fundo do coração, desejamos que o ano de 2018, além daquilo que todos vós desejarem, vos dê:

1 – Sol suficiente, para manter a sua atitude sempre brilhante!
2 – Chuva suficiente, para poder apreciar ainda melhor a luz do sol!.
3 – Felicidade suficiente, para poder manter o seu espírito sempre vivo!.
4 – Dor suficiente, para que as alegrias mais pequenas, pareçam ainda maiores!.
5 – Ganhe o suficiente, para satisfazer as suas necessidades!.
6 – Perda suficiente, para poder apreciar tudo o que possui!.
7 – Anos de vida suficientes, para que chegue à idade que ambiciona!.
8 – Amor de família e amizade pura de amigos suficiente, para que se orgulhe de não conhecer    a existência de qualquer inimigo!.
9 – Saúde suficiente, para que não necessite de assistência de doutores, hospitais ou medicinas!
10 – O fogão, lá na cozinha, trabalhe o suficiente, para que você e sua família, tenham uma alimentação saudável!.
11 – Alegria suficiente, para que a tristeza se sinta sempre longe de si!.
12 – Paz suficiente, para que as palavras guerra, catástrofe, ganância, roubo, perda inocentes de vidas ou destruição, não nos apareçam mais, abrindo os noticiários!.

(So we, from the bottom of our hearts, wish that the year 2018, in addition to what all of you wish, give you:

1 – Enough sun, to keep your attitude always bright!
2 – Rain enough, to enjoy even better sunlight!
3 – Happiness enough, to keep your spirit alive!
4 – Pain enough, so that the smallest joys look even bigger!
5 – Earn enough, to meet your needs!.
6 – Loss enough, to enjoy everything you own!
7 – Years of life enough, so that it reaches the age that ambitions!.
8 – Family love and friendship pure friends enough, so that you be proud of not knowing the existence of any enemy!.
9 – Sufficient health so you do not need the assistance of doctors, hospitals or medicines!
10 – The stove, there in the kitchen, work enough, for you and your family to have a healthy diet!.
11 – Joy enough, so that the sadness always feels far from itself!.
12 – Peace enough, so that the words war, catastrophe, greed, theft, innocent loss of lives or destruction, do not appear to us anymore, opening the news!.

…e falando ainda um pouco do Natal que já passou, existem pelo menos quatro momentos diferentes na nossa vida, que podem ser:

1 – Quando acreditamos no Pai Natal!.
2 – Quando já não acreditamos no Pai Natal!.
3 – Quando já somos o Pai Natal!.
4 – Quando parecemos mesmo o Pai Natal!

… and speaking still a little of Christmas that has passed, there are at least four different moments in our life, which can be:

1 – When we believe in Santa Claus!.
2 – When we no longer believe in Santa Claus!.
3 – When we are already Santa Claus!.
4 – When we even look like Santa Claus!.
