…hoje…, ontem e há três dias sentimo-nos um pouco desiludidos, frustados e inconsequentemente menos dignos de alguns gestos físicos!. Porquê?. Porque nesta lenta recuperação vamos verificando que que ela é feita de avanços e recuos!. Uns dias são “cinco estrelas” e…, outros vemo-nos a gritar, pedindo para que nos aliviem as dores, sobretudo na “alma”, (se é que ela existe)!.

…today…, yesterday and three days ago we feel a little disappointed, frustrated and consequently less worthy of some physical gestures!. Why?. Because in this slow recovery we are verifying that it is made of advances and retreats!. Some days are “five stars” and…, others we find ourselves screaming, asking them to relieve our pain, especially in the “soul”, (if it exists)!.

…e não são só dores físicas, são dores que refletem uma passagem para o irracional!. Porquê?. Sobretudo quando se vê e ouve o noticiário do “five o’clock news”, e se assiste a um desenrolar de notícias terríveis com guerra e outros conflitos em muitas partes do mundo, crianças com fome e sem família, património natural destruído, animais “enjaulados” e maltratados e…, o “ser humano”, com um semblante superior, ignorando, cruel e…, dando a entender que é o “rei” deste universo!. Universo este que afinal, não pertence a ninguém…, porque é de todos nós!.

…and it’s not just physical pain, it’s pain that reflects a passage to the irrational!. Why?. Especially when you see and hear the “five o’clock news”, and watch terrible news unfold with war and other conflicts in many parts of the world, hungry and homeless children, destroyed natural heritage, animals “caged” and mistreated and…, the “human being”, with a superior countenance, ignoring, cruel and…, implying that he is the “king” of this universe!. A universe that, after all, does not belong to anyone…, because it belongs to all of us!.

…alguém escreveu que, “o homem é a mais insana das espécies, pois adora um Deus invisível e mata a Natureza visível…, sem perceber que a Natureza que ele mata é o Deus invisível que ele adora”!. Nós identificamo-nos perfeitamente com esta legenda!

….someone wrote that, “man is the most insane of species, because he worships an invisible God and kills visible Nature…, not realizing that the Nature he kills is the invisible God he worships”!. We identify perfectly with this caption!.

…e, porque nesta faze da nossa vida não nos é recomendado, levantar, empurrar ou puxar mais de 10 libras, tal como nenhum trabalho pesado no quintal como cortar, plantar, juntar folhas, etc., ou outro qualquer trabalho doméstico pesado, como por exemplo tentar abrir a tampa de uma jarra apertada, levantar sacolas, bolsas ou malas ou simplesmente empurrar ou puxar portas pesadas, praticar nenhum desporto extenuante, como golfe natação, ténis, caça ou pesca ou até…, levantar os meus netos ao colo!. 

…and, because in this phase of our lives it is not recommended for us to lift, push or pull more than 10 pounds, as well as any heavy yard work such as mowing, planting, raking leaves, etc., or any other heavy housework such as for example, trying to open the lid of a tight jar, lifting bags, purses or suitcases or simply pushing or pulling heavy doors, practicing any strenuous sport, such as golf, swimming, tennis, hunting or fishing or even…, lifting my grandchildren on your lap!.

…como tal…, continuamos a andar por aí e nas nossas caminhadas, sempre acompanhados pela nossa dedicada esposa Isaura, vamos registando imagens dessa tal Natureza visível, que o “homem” vai destruindo, que afinal…, é o tal Deus invisível que ele adora!.

…as such…, we continue to walk around and on our walks, always accompanied by our devoted wife Isaura, we register images of that visible Nature, which “man” is destroying, which after all…, is the invisible God that he loves it!.
