…our son Tony, his devoted wife Kathy, our grandchildren Cody and Dawson, also came from the north, from the mountains of Pennsylvania, however…, they are not “snowbirds” either…, they are family and…, they bring us to the memory of images of the past to whom we owe many good memories!. They come to see us and…, above all, have fun on the beach, sunbathe on their bodies, walk on the sand, jump over the waves and dance with the sea!.
…because in the end, the children will not remember that toy or what we bought them!. They will remember the time we spent with them, helping to create a human being by allowing them to discover the world from the beginning!.
…and, see their wonders from a responsible, honest and healthy perspective of all the happy moments we build for them, and of course, for us parents or grandparents it is a wonderful adventure, giving us the opportunity to also learn something new! .
…they laughed happily… when we showed them a special shell, telling them to listen to the sea, the giant prehistoric turtle, the grunts of the baby dolphin returning to the surface with its mother dolphin coming from the bottom of the sea or the tropical storm approaching bringing giant waves, abandoned “privateer” boats, telling them stories of “pirates” of the Caribbean Sea!.
…especially our grandson Dawson, in a deep interest in ocean life wanted to go fishing!. There we went and…, from sharks, whales or penguins, to maybe rainbow fish, we didn’t catch any fish, however he was still happy, saying that the fish should stay in their habitat…, because they are part of nature!.
…and, in the late afternoon scenario, being hours of return, the sand would cry on the beach, the ocean would wave in a deep and wistful goodbye and that seagull would fly over us asking if we were going to return tomorrow, because “the sky would touch the sea and the waves would dance on the beach”!.
