…porquê?. Porque o nosso neto Brian Anthony, vai fazer a sua primeira comunhão católica e, tal como nos diz a lenda e era costume em Constantinopla no século VI, as crianças pequenas e inocentes recebiam o pão e o vinho no altar durante a oração eucarística que representavam os elementos consagrados da Sagrada Comunhão, que era uma lembrança simbólica da morte de Cristo!.

(…why?. Because our grandson Brian Anthony, is going to make his first Catholic communion and, as legend tells us and it was customary in Constantinople in the 6th century, small and innocent children received bread and wine at the altar during the Eucharistic prayer they represented the consecrated elements of Holy Communion, which was a symbolic remembrance of the death of Christ)!.

…segundo a tradição, o serviço da Comunhão é um dos sete rituais chamados sacramentos que têm um significado importante, porque durante este serviço, a que é costume chamar de Missa, os católicos acreditam que o pão e o vinho, quando especialmente abençoados por um sacerdote, tornam-se o corpo e o sangue de Jesus Cristo!. 

(…according to tradition, the service of Communion is one of the seven rituals called sacraments that have an important meaning, because during this service, which is customarily called Mass, Catholics believe that bread and wine, when specially blessed by a priest, become the body and blood of Jesus Christ)!.

…assim como avós que adoram os seus netos, vamos estar presentes, tal como toda a família, para que o Brian Anthony se sinta acompanhado e feliz na sua festa da Sagrada Comunhão!. 

(…as well as grandparents who adore their grandchildren, we will be present, as will the whole family, so that Brian Anthony feels accompanied and happy at his Holy Communion party)!.
