…as vezes são grandes, às vezes são pequenas, às vezes são planeadas, mas as viajens em família, são um dos maiores contribuidores para as histórias que fazem parte da narrativa oscilante da nossa vida e, quando se escolhe entre o conforto na compra de um sofá e uma televisão nova ou o dinheiro dispendido numa viajem em família, sempre se escolhe as viajens em família!. A pesquisa valida esse ponto de vista, dizendo que as viajens em família agem como “âncoras da felicidade”, pelo menos para as crianças!. (Sometimes they are big, sometimes they are small, sometimes they are planned, but family trips are one of the biggest contributors to the stories that are part of the oscillating narrative of our lives and, when choosing between comfort in life, buying a sofa and a new television or the money spent on a family trip, one always chooses family trips!. …dirigimo-nos para o aeroporto de Lisboa, onde depois de todas a normais formalizações, entrámos na aeronave que, sobrevoando as Trilhas do Atlântico Norte, pelas estradas invisíveis no céu, atravessou o oceano Atlântico com tal precisão que, o comissário de bordo ao anunciar a rota, explicou que o tempo estava limpo e íamos aterrar no aeroporto de Newark, no estado de Nova Jersey, com nove minutos de antecedência ao horário previsto!. Esses momentos mágicos no tempo, estavam chegando ao fim!. …no dia seguinte pela manhã, seguimos no sentido norte/oeste, em direcção ao estado de Pennsylvania, visitar o nosso filho Tony, a sua dedicada esposa Kathy e os nossos netos Cody e Dawson!. (The next morning, we head north / west, heading for the state of Pennsylvania, visiting our son Tony, his devoted wife Kathy and our grandchildren Cody and Dawson)!.

…passamos um dia agradável, com os nossos netos contando-nos as suas opções divertidas durante e depois das horas passadas na escola!. (We spend a pleasant day with our grandchildren telling us about their fun choices during and after school hours)!.

…as histórias dos seus desportos favoritos, exemplificando-nos com movimentos precisos, mostrando o seu talento e as suas habilidades, iguais à que eles vêm aos professionais na televisão!. (The stories of their favorite sports, exemplifying us with precise movements, showing their talent and skills, just like they come to the professionals on television)!.

…estivémos juntos por algum tempo, celebrando e mantendo viva a história da nossa família!. (We have been together for some time, celebrating and keeping our family history alive)!.

…e, fazendo planos para a realização de novas aventuras, aqui na casa dos avós, no estado da Florida!. (And making plans for new adventures here at Grandparents House in the state of Florida)!.

…ouvimos as suas ideias, observámos a atenção e o carinho dado pela sua dedicada mãe Kathy e pelo seu dedicado pai Tony que, sempre que podem os acompanham nos seus eventos favoritos!. (We listened to your ideas, watched the attention and affection given by your dedicated mother Kathy and your dedicated father Tony who, whenever you can accompany them at your favorite events)!.

…saltaram para o nosso colo, mostraram os livros e os brinquedos preferidos!. (Jumped onto our lap, showed the favorite books and toys)!.

…contaram-nos histórias engraçadas, que nos fizeram rir!. (Told us funny stories that made us laugh)!.

…comemos juntos as mirabulantes receitas da sua mãe Kathy, que são as suas preferidas, roubando comida uns aos outros e, claro, nós os avós perdiamos sempre, perante os seus sorrisos!. (We eat together your mother Kathy’s miraculous recipes, which are your favorites, stealing food from each other and of course we grandparents always lost them before your smiles)!.

…todavia, a importância de registrar e lembrar estes momentos é uma enorme criação de um legado duradouro, sobretudo para as pessoas que amamos!. (Yet the importance of recording and remembering these moments is a huge creation of a lasting legacy, especially for the people we love)!.

…mostraram-nos e também brincámos com os seus brinquedos!. (Showed us and we also played with their toys)!.

…e, juntos vimos os seus programas preferidos de televisão!. (And together we watched your favorite television shows)!.

…enfim, por alguns momentos também fomos crianças de novo!. (Finally, for a few moments we were also children again)!.

…todas estas recordações, contando memórias de família, levam-nos a uma narrativa, onde ficam registrados os pensamentos dos movimentos à medida que a idade dos nossos netos avança, que serão o desenho de pequenos tesouros, que ficarão gravados, para serem lembrados durante toda a sua vida!. (All these memories, telling family memories, lead us to a narrative, where the thoughts of the movements are recorded as the age of our grandchildren progresses, which will be the drawing of small treasures, which will be engraved, to be remembered all your life)!.

…depois de uma saudosa despedida, acordando-os, pois ainda dormiam, saimos ainda noite, começando uma viajem de regresso à nossa casa, com alguns intervalos para comer e fazer alguns exercícios físicos, rumando ao estado da Flórida, passando por todos aqueles estados que já por diversas vezes mencionamos, chegando já a noite ia avançada!. (After a late farewell, waking them up, as they were still sleeping, we went out at night, starting a trip back to our house, with some breaks to eat and do some physical exercises, heading for the state of Florida, passing by all. those states that we have already mentioned several times, and the night was already late)!.

…onde nos encontramos de novo, começando as nossas caminhadas por entre a natureza, com sol brilhante ou chuva e vento dos “tornados” que periódicamente nos visitam, desejosos de encontrar aqui e ali alguns alligatores ou aves exóticas, para as poder fotografar!. (Where we meet again, beginning our walks through nature, with bright sun or rain and wind from the tornadoes that periodically visit us, eager to find some alligators or exotic birds here and there to photograph them)!

…claro, não esquecendo o nascer e o pôr do sol na praia, até que surja uma nova viajem!. (Of course, not forgetting the sunrise and sunset on the beach, until a new trip arises)!.
