…é uma curiosidade natural saber a nossa origem da vida na Terra!. O início, a ascensão, o ponto onde algo de nós começa, a fonte, a nascente, a raiz, aquele canteiro de sementes que se foram cruzando talvez por séculos, até sermos nós que por aqui vamos caminhando!.

(…it is a natural curiosity to know our origin of life on Earth!. The beginning, the ascent, the point where something from us begins, the source, the source, the root, that seedbed that has crossed perhaps for centuries, until we are the ones who walk here)!.

…já tínhamos descoberto alguma coisa sobre os nossos antepassados, que eram de origem humilde e alguns de origem francesa, mas concretamente não havia provas, porque as pessoas das quais algo é derivado e, numa última análise, nós não tivémos contacto, e aqueles que tiveram contacto, nesse momento eram crianças, portanto “é o que ouviram dizer”, ou “o que pensam que lhe disseram” e por vezes a fonte pode não ser credível, e claro, viveremos sempre na dúvida!.

…uma investigação sobre a nossa origem, aplica-se com mais frequência num estudo prolongado, mas por vezes ela pode surgir única e simplesmente com alguma sorte, encontrando as pessoas exactas naquele momento e àquela hora e, foi o que felizmente aconteceu!. A nossa esposa Isaura, companheira da vida por mais de cinco décadas, encontrou amigos recentes de Portugal, mais própriamente da região onde nascemos, que conseguiram a cópia de um documento do século passado onde lá vem o nome e a profissão do nosso avô paterno!.

Our wife Isaura, life partner for more than five decades, met recent friends from Portugal, more specifically from the region where we were born, who managed to copy a document from the last century where the name and profession of our paternal grandfather comes from)!.

…isto é maravilhoso!. São na verdade as verdadeiras “Pieces of my Life” (bocados da minha vida)!. Porque as origens, muitas vezes difíceis de encontrar, são o início, a raiz do que somos, não só quando crianças em pleno crescimento como quando nos tornamos adultos, seja em que lugar, País ou até Continente vivermos!. Como tal, obrigado do fundo do nosso coração e bem hajam, amigos de Portugal!.
