…tem olhos castanhos!.
…a mãe Sandy, está feliz!.
…o pai Brian, acompanha a mãe na felicidade!.
…e nós avós, choramos de alegria!.
…a Layla, é muito linda!.
…parabéns!.

…existe um ditado que diz que, “A sabedoria vem com a idade, mas às vezes a idade vem sózinha”!. Oxalá que esta criança cresça, e que a sabedoria, a sorte e a bondade a acompanhe ao longo de uma vida saudável!.

…already crying and wanting to suck!.
…has black hair!.
…Have brown eyes!.
…Sandy’s mother, she’s happy!.
…father Brian, accompanies his mother in happiness!.
…and we grandmas, we cry for joy!.
…Layla, she’s very beautiful!

… there is a saying that, “Wisdom comes with age, but sometimes age comes alone!”. May this child grow, and may wisdom, luck, and goodness accompany him throughout a healthy life!

…lá na velha Europa, ao redor dos anos 1500, existiam muitas superstições em relação aos dias da semana em que os bebés nasciam!. Diziam até que a sua fortuna, a sua personalidade ou o seu temperamento, eram regulados pelo dia do seu nascimento!. …havia até uma lenda, que nos dizia como o bebé iria ser no futuro, o que nós, já com muitos anos vividos, com alguma experiência de vida, convivendo com diferentes pessoas, em pelo menos três diferentes gerações, oriundas de diferentes países, achamos alguma graça, mas não resistimos em mencionar essa lenda, que nos diz que:

– a Criança que nasce a uma Segunda-feira, é justa!.
– a Criança que nasce a uma Terça-feira, está cheia de graça!.
– a Criança que nasce a uma Quarta-feira, está cheia de cuidados!.
– a Criança que nasce a uma Quinta-feira, tem muito para andar!.
– a Criança que nasce a uma Sexta-feira, é amorosa e gosta de dar!.
– a Criança que nasce a um Sábado, trabalha duro para ganhar a vida!.
– a Criança que nasce a um Domingo, é bonita, alegre e bondosa!.

…tudo isso são lendas, mas para nós “avós babados” a nossa Layla, é tudo aquilo que está mencionado acima, mais, “a mais linda do mundo”, tal como todos os nossos adorados netos!. Oxalá tenha sempre saúde, sorte e bom carácter, para poder sobreviver neste planeta, a que chamamos Terra!. (all of these are legends, but for us “lazy grandmothers” our Layla, is all that is mentioned above, more, “the most beautiful in the world”, as all our beloved grandchildren!.
