…a vida!. (…the life)!.

…sabemos, temos a plena noção de que um dia deixaremos este mundo para trás!. Então até lá, tentamos viver uma vida buscando e criando sonhos para um futuro, que também sabemos, dada à nossa já um pouco avançada idade, que não vai ser longo, no entanto, vamos seguindo um caminho, fugindo o mais possível das actividades rotineiras, procurando algumas aventuras e inovações, que nos levem a não nos deixar corromper pelas ilusões do absurdo e, a viver uma vida de que podemos sentir algum orgulho, de que quando regressarmos ao local de onde viemos, os outros, os que ainda por cá ficarem, nos possam lembrar com alguma saudade e alegria!.

(…we know, we are fully aware that one day we will leave this world behind!. So until then, we try to live a life seeking and creating dreams for a future, which we also know, given our already a little advanced age, which will not be long, however, we are following a path, evading the most possible of routine activities, looking for some adventures and innovations, that lead us not to let ourselves be corrupted by the illusions of the absurd and, to live a life of which we can feel some pride, that when we return to where we came from, the others, those who are still here stay, can remind us with some nostalgia and joy)!.

…sim, é possível que, ao olhar para todos os anos que ficaram para trás, é muito provável que nos lembremos de todos os grandes ou pequenos momentos pelos quais passámos, porque os flashbacks sobre o nosso passado vão aos poucos enchendo a nossa mente, fazendo-nos lembrar de tudo o que vimos, ouvimos e sentimos!. Esta é a verdade e, temos que a abraçar!.

(…yes, it is possible that, looking at all the years that are left behind, it is very likely that we will remember all the great or small moments we went through, because the flashbacks about our past are gradually filling our mind, making us remember everything we saw, heard and felt!. This is the truth and, we have to embrace it)!.

…tudo isto, quando vivemos sete ou mais décadas de vida, não é tão fácil de suportar como parece, no entanto, ainda seria pior se não houvesse nada para lembrar, porque isso iria parecer que todos esses anos vividos pareciam vazios!. Como tal, a verdade é que o maior desafio aqui, é ter algo para se lembrar, é preencher o nosso pensamento com todos esses anos vividos, tal como fosse uma reflexão, ou seja, continuar a viver uma vida, mas uma vida de que agora, os outros se irão lembrar!.

(…all this, when we live seven or more decades of life, is not as easy to bear as it seems, however, it would be even worse if there was nothing to remember, because it would seem that all these years lived seemed empty !. As such, the truth is that the biggest challenge here is to have something to remember, to fill our thoughts with all these years lived, as if it were a reflection, that is, to continue to live a life, but a life that now, others will remember)!.

…depois de todo este blá, blá, blá, o que no fundo, no fundo, queremos dizer é que temos que abraçar a verdade, não haverá uma segunda chance de recomeçar a nossa vida do zero!. Ela já começou e não existe interlúdio!. Podemos sim, começar a partir deste momento a vivê-la do jeito que quizer-mos, sem nunca esquecer que, cada momento da nossa vida é uma contribuição para as nossas memórias sobre ela!.

…como no nosso caso, se parar-mos um minuto para pensar sobre a nossa idade, descobrimos que é simplesmente um número de anos que passámos na Terra, não são muitos nem poucos, é simplesmente a contagem da idade que os humanos inventaram, talvez para fins de completar um qualquer formulário de identificação!.

(…as in our case, if we take a minute to think about our age, we discover that it is simply a number of years that we have spent on Earth, not many or few, it is simply the count of the age that humans invented , perhaps for the purpose of completing any identification form)!.

…contudo, os anos que por cá passados, refletem o número das nossas vitórias, derrotas ou talvez o número de sonhos realizados e não realizados, contudo, a nossa tarefa é fazer com que esses anos não sejam apenas a medição da nossa idade, devemos torná-los numa questão de orgulho, preenchendo esses anos com coisas que mais tarde nos farão sorrir e encher de orgulho, tanto a nós, como à família e aos amigos!.

(…however, the years that have passed here, reflect the number of our victories, defeats or perhaps the number of fulfilled and unfulfilled dreams, however, our task is to make these years not just a measure of our age , we must make them a matter of pride, filling these years with things that will later make us smile and fill us with pride, both for ourselves, for family and friends)!.

…lembramo-nos sempre que cada decisão conta!. No entanto, existem algumas decisões, que nos ajudaram a viver a vida de modo a nos lembrar-mos delas!. Não são novas nem originais, vieram dos nossos pais e, que as passámos aos nossos filhos, e que as irão passar aos nossos netos, e que muito nos ajudaram a viver até aos dias de hoje, como por exemplo!.

(…we always remember that every decision counts!. However, there are some decisions that helped us to live life in order to remember them !. They are not new or original, they came from our parents, and we passed them on to our children, and they will pass them on to our grandchildren, and they have helped us a lot until today, for example)!.

…começámos sempre uma qualquer tarefa, com um fim em mente, definindo os seus objectivos e aspirações principais, levando essa obra ou simplesmente sonho, a sério, vivendo uma vida que vale a pena lembrar, tentando alcançar os resultados dos quais sentimos algum orgulho, sendo necessário trabalhar muito e nunca desistir, porque tudo o que vale a pena fazer, não é fácil nem rápido!.

(…we always started any task, with an end in mind, defining its main objectives and aspirations, taking this work or simply dreaming, seriously, living a life that is worth remembering, trying to achieve the results we are proud of, having to work hard and never give up, because everything worth doing is not easy or fast)!.

…usámos quase todas as oportunidades que a vida nos ofereceu, porque o pensamento não nos ia levar para longe do lugar em que estávamos, no entanto as acções iam, como tal, sempre que tivemos uma oportunidade que nos podia levar para mais perto das nossas aspirações, aproveitámos, porque realizar os nossos sonhos é difícil, mas viver uma vida medíocre é fácil, no entanto, é improvável que essa vida medíocre e fácil, fosse um veículo para trazer até nós, as tais lembranças de que hoje nos orgulhamos!.

(…we used almost every opportunity that life offered us, because thought would not take us away from the place we were in, however the actions went, as such, whenever we had an opportunity that could bring us closer of our aspirations, we took advantage, because realizing our dreams is difficult, but living a mediocre life is easy, however, it is unlikely that this mediocre and easy life, would be a vehicle to bring to us, the memories of which we are proud today)!

…sempre comprámos experências, não coisas!. Às vezes, talvez só o necessário para viver, gastando o nosso tempo e dinheiro em sabedoria e na educação dos nossos filhos, e claro, algumas viajens, porque as tais “coisas” têm simplesmente uma vida útil, no entanto, as experiências, a educação e conhecer outras paragens e outras pessoas, ficam para sempre na nossa memória, e claro, o que nós definitivamente não estávamos dispostos a fazer no futuro, era arrepender-nos do nosso passado!.

(…we always bought experiences, not things !. Sometimes, maybe just what is necessary to live, spending our time and money on the wisdom and education of our children, and of course, some trips, because such “things” simply have a useful life, however, the experiences, the education and meeting other places and other people, are forever in our memory, and of course, what we were definitely not willing to do in the future, was to regret our past)!.

…e para terminar, continuamos a ser felizes com aquilo que temos, sem nunca desejar ter o que o outro tem, sabendo que para isso se tem que trabalhar duro, tal como fizémos quando ainda estávamos activos, fazendo parte do mercado de trabalho, respeitando e auxiliando as outras pessoas e, sobretudo a mãe natureza, que essa sim, é a dona de tudo o que existe ao nosso redor!.

(…and finally, we continue to be happy with what we have, without ever wishing to have what the other has, knowing that for that we have to work hard, as we did when we were still active, part of the labor market, respecting and helping other people and, above all, mother nature, that this is the owner of everything that exists around us)!.

…e claro, não só para nós como para todos, a verdade é que, se há alguém que pode transformar a sua vida, transformando-a repleta de momentos que vale a pena recordar, somos nós próprios, com as nossas acções e atitudes, mais ninguém!.

(…and of course, not only for us but for everyone, the truth is that if there is someone who can transform life, transforming it full of moments worth remembering, it is us, with our actions and attitudes, nobody else)!.

…como tal, vamos preenchendo os nossos dias com vitórias, derrotas, memórias ou as experiências possíveis, distribuindo sorrisos e lembranças, abraçando a família e os amigos, pois mais não temos para dar, com o pensamento de que a vida deve ser sempre lembrada!.
